my very own ribbon wreath!

Sometimes.. I'm a copy cat. but there are soo many good ideas from so many great people!

you might remember this post. Well.. I loved that spring wreath and so did my mom!
so she had me make one for her. It was surprisingly easy and fun!

step #1: get your materials.
tons of ribbon, a foam wreath, and some little straight pins.
Step #2: cut strips of ribbon, 2-3 inches.
loop them. and pin them!
Step #3: fill it up until it is nice and full.
sit back and finish your movie!
Step #4: put it up somewhere nice for everyone to admire.

I LOVE IT!
thank you so much to stacy at she's kinda crafty!
she is awesome. be sure to stop by and see her other awesome ideas.

little red business girl.

Kati and mom are on an adventure!
In Harrisburg, PA.
I am hearing about how to build a better dental practice.

but I'm learning how to be a better speaker.
I want to be a homemaker, but I have a back-up plan.
If I want to be a dental hygienist,
I have the best role model to do it!

Just one more step into the future, along the road to growing up!

pick your poison: modge podge.

modge podge can turn anything bland and make it elegant or cute.
when I moved my paper holder didn't match my room anymore, and we just can't have that!
I pulled out my modge podge and went to work...

See that glossy shine?
I used wood glue underneath to make sure it stuck.
Then put on the MP to smooth and seal it.

So cute, and now it matches!
Modge podge... for the win.

{Welcome.}

Hello there.
I decided I am going to give this craft blogging world a try. First I'll probably introduce myself.

My name is Kati Briggs and I am 18 years old.
I graduate this year and plan to attend BYU.
I love crafts, creativity and thrift stores.
especially chandeliers, antiques, and pearls.
argyle, music, books and ribbon.
I like organizing, though I am very unorganized.
I am not a good cook, but I enjoy trying.

I want this blog to be an outlet as I transition to college and learn how to live by myself, cook for myself, clean, do laundry, and (my favorite) decorate my own space. I get so many ideas from my favorite blogs out there and I am sure they are bound to show up as I begin my journey! As for now, I just got my new piece of equipment for my birthday:

With a sewing machine, some cute paper and a Silhouette SD. You can do anything.
See you around!
